Identify energy efficiency potential in the standard design and climate adaptation of new stores.

A simulation model was used to systematically assess the cost-benefit of different efficiency measures. Technical visits and field measurements supported the assessments.

Estimated reduction of up to 40% in energy consumption of new units;
Evaluation of 26 efficiency measure scenarios;
Assessment of variations caused by the climate for other Brazilian cities.
